One of the things I love about being a mom is watching my husband be a dad. I remind my children constantly that they are incredibly blessed to have such an involved and loving father. I enjoyed watching Cody and Jerry preparing for the Awana Grand Prix and making Cody's car a masterpiece. This was their first time participating, so they learned that next year they'll need to add some more weight to the car so it will go faster. I was impressed with the creativity of some of these kids (and their dads)! Our small group leader was up until the wee hours of the morning finishing their car...a replica of a Wii remote! Pretty impressive....
Hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks for visiting!

I remember my brother doing this for cub scouts. I love the green and pink. I fall more in love with my hubby everytime he's in dad mode. It was what I always wanted and am SO glad my kids get to have that.
Better day today! I can't wait for the Awana Olympics and I hope both my kids get to participant.
Sounds like fun. And like stuff that I will most likely never participate in . . . unless a My Little Pony or a Polly Pocket is involved. ;-)
What fun! Aaron does the similar thing with Scouts. We were at the mall this past weekend and saw a group racing their cars. We knew they weren't scouts. I bet it was a group from Awanas. Glad your "boys" could have some fun together!
