The Life of the Party

Okay, so I promise this is my last post about this weekend's festivities. I had to include some of the other things (and people) that made the weekend so fun and memorable!

Cody played a small "concert" for the family. They hadn't heard him play his violin yet, so I know they enjoyed getting to hear him for the first time. Later that night, my mom and I sat down at the piano and pulled out all kinds of sheet music where we sang for the next couple of hours. I'm not sure how the rest of the group felt about our melodious music, but we sure enjoyed giving our recital! (You sounded great, mom!)
Caden had lots of helpers when he opened his presents. Here is my niece Mackenzie helping him with her family's gift. Ah, a George book. How appropriate for my Curious Caden! (Thanks Aunt Mimi and Uncle "G-G"!)
Look at those cute cousins...they are such a sweet group and they love playing with each other, which makes it even more fun for us adults! A little funny story...on Sunday, after we had gone to church and had lunch, all of us (minus the kids, of course), crashed on my mom and dad's super-size couch and took a snooze (that time change is killer!). At one point, I heard the oldest cousin, Cassidy, tell the other kids that "the grown-ups are all taking a nap!" They all entertained themselves and let us rest for a little while. : ) Here they are breaking in all of Caden's new art supplies.
Here's Caden playing a game of...horse shoes?
And finally, here he is breaking in his new Blue DVD. I think he likes it. How 'bout you??

Nanna, "Pappy", Mimi, GG, Cass, and Kenz, thanks for an awesome weekend. These posts have been dedicated to you. We are so thankful for every one of you and for all you did to make the weekend so special. Can't wait to see you again in a couple of weeks! Stay tuned for a HILARIOUS Wordless Wednesday. : )

You are so lucky to have the wonderful family that you do. That's amazing that the kids let you all rest.

Happy 2nd birthday Caden!! It looks like you had a blast at your birthday party. It's always fun to play with cousins.

I'm sure all the clues Blue left for you lead to a big HEART that says "I love you" because it's obvious you are very well loved by your family.

Take care!!

Love,

Julie
