Heard While Getting Ready This Morning:

"Hey mom? Dad? I really don't think I'm going to be going outside for recess today. (Rumbling thunder shakes the windows.) It seems there's a lot of participation coming from the sky."

Yes. We are having a great deal of "participation" today, so I drove Cody down the block to the bus stop and let him sit in the van until his bus arrived. We prayed for his day, and as he jumped out of the van to meet the bus, that familiar twinge I felt when I watched him get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten seemed to creep back in. He didn't want to go to school today, and I must admit, I didn't want him to go.

My little man. I do love him so.

Our 15 day Spring Break comes to an end tomorrow too and I'm dreading it. I love having the kids with me all the time! You are such a great mom.

Cute comment from Cody. Kids say the funniest things!

Don't you just love the son/mom bond? My 13 yr old teared up last night explaining how he wished we had more time together. Hope you got your "issue" all figured out.

It is always hard to let go of them, no matter how many times! I have gone through it for 5 years now! I just love having them here, even if I am not!
