You Know Autumn Has Arrived When...

  • You've begun digging out your sweaters.
  • The thought of caramel apples and visits to the pumpkin farm have left you positively giddy.
  • You're fall decor is out and up and suddenly the passage of summer isn't such a bad thing after all.
  • Your children are excited as they anticipate dressing up for Halloween.
  • You are craving soups, stews, and chili.
  • The bees are buzzing.
  • You thank God that you live in such a beautiful part of the world where the seasons change, and with it, you are in awe of the Artist who paints it all.
  • The top of your to do list begins with "buy mums today."
  • There's a slight chill in the air and you wonder how long it will be before you turn your heat on (and watch your gas bills escalate!).
  • You can't wait to make Autumn sugar cookies and have even gone out to buy new sprinkles and cutters even though you have plenty!
  • You've begun planning music for the Christmas services.
  • The football season has started and you throw a party everytime a Huskers game is televised!

Now it's your turn: What do you LOVE about the fall?

I am just thankful when we have any sort of fall like weather. I am hoping we have cooler temps this year. We do not always have fall or winter temps. I am really hoping this year will bring a true fall and winter our way!

Blessings.

The 'crisp'ness of the air!

Playing in the leaves (which are all brown and yucky b/c it was 100 degrees until last week with no rain...)

NO MORE BATHING SUITS!!!!!!!

I too love the fall, and today was the first day I actually wore pants instead of shorts. However by mid afternoon, the temp was back up to 80 degrees. We'll hold on to some warmth a bit longer down here, I think.
However there is a crispness in the air that I love and I love being able to sleep with the windows open this time of year.
Have a beautiful day,
Molly

Ok, girl, you are causing me to think hard because I usually dislike fall because it only means winter is on the way. UGH!

However I will still pick my brain....I passed County Line Orchard the other day and the smell of cider was a good thing. Maybe my heart is changing?

Now I will go light my Fall Festival Yankee Candle and enjoy the day, which will be a high of 62! (I don't like that.)

Happi,

Fall is my favorite season of all time- I just wish it lasted longer.

-I love that you can open up your windows and allow the weather to naturally cool off the house
- I love breathing in the cool crisp Fall air the minute you step outside of your house
- I love the change of colors in the leaves here in the Midwest (yellow, red, orange, etc.)
-I love pumpkin farms
-I love going to apple orchards to pick apples with my family
-I love seeing my children play in the leaves
-I love that you can be outside without sweating and being eaten alive by lots of bugs

Those are some of my favorites. Bring on the Fall.

God Bless,

Julie
